Join in with the “Members of the Gilded Guild”, an acrylic painting on 16x20 inch canvas that features four stylized birdcages set against an abstract background. The birdcages were completed using a gold paint pen that was then gone over with a different shade of gold metallic paint on each. While the birdcages are more realistically stylized, the background is an abstract mix of several shades of matte and metallic pink paint. This juxtaposition of styles gives the piece contrast and depth that combined with the different paint sheens used heightens the visual interest and texture of the painting.
